While Mama Cooks...

This is where you usually find the kiddos while I'm cooking dinner...

Bathtime!

My new system works really quite well... While Big Brother gets his playtime in the tub, Baby Girl gets her bath in her little tub next to the sink. Then, both my babies are squeaky clean and sweet smelling together!

Can you believe how long she is getting already? I wish my potbelly was as cute as hers!

Boys & Bugs

Like most boys, I would imagine, ours is fascinated with bugs.

We often find ladybugs in the house, which we point out to him if he doesn't see them first.

Yesterday morning, I saw one on the floor, so I let it crawl onto my foot and "walked" it over to him.

This must have made a big impression on him, because...

Last evening, I was sitting on the couch feeding Baby Girl, when He excitedly came running into the room and proceeded to set a ladybug on my foot as if it was the highest honor in the land. :)

Happy Second Day of Spring

Here's a view from my window this oh, so happy spring day. Yes, that's right- a freak snowfall happened overnight, leaving 2-3 inches on the ground.

A Piece of the Kid's World

What the Adults had for dinner... Roasted Salmon and Asparagus with Buttered Brown Rice...

The Kid thought it was yucky, so he had... a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich.

Yesterday, I found this in the washer...

I guess He discovered that pockets are a neat place to store his treasures! Now I have two sets of boy pockets to check before doing laundry... Sigh.

If this Post doesn't MAKE YOU SMILE...

then you had better check your pulse. You might be dead.

Shie is now 2 months old. She weighed in yesterday at 11 pounds even, and is 23 inches long. That puts her in the 50th and 75th percentiles, just like her big brother at this age.

I think the photos speak for themselves as to our Girl's growing ability to show her personality!

Playing with Scissors, Part II

I don't have any haircut photos to show you- I'm not as good at self portraits as my little sister, Joann. But, I can show you the results of my scherenschnitte adventure...

1. Draw out a design.

2. Cut away the background to reveal subjects.

3. Coffee stain for ageing, add a sweet little quote, then put it in an old frame.

4. List the finished artwork on ebay (Saturday or Sunday evening) and hope she sells!

Look Familiar?

Anyone who has seen the Disney movie "Cars" ought to recognize what is happening here...

There is absolutely no limit to this kiddo's imagination!
