Playing with Scissors, Part II

I don't have any haircut photos to show you- I'm not as good at self portraits as my little sister, Joann. But, I can show you the results of my scherenschnitte adventure...

1. Draw out a design.

2. Cut away the background to reveal subjects.

3. Coffee stain for ageing, add a sweet little quote, then put it in an old frame.

4. List the finished artwork on ebay (Saturday or Sunday evening) and hope she sells!

It looks great! Was it very difficult and was that your first one?

That was my very first attempt. It pays to be a perfectionist, I guess! I only had one casualty, but I'll never tell where it is!

I found it to be much easier than I thought. The hardest part was getting the design drawn out.

Nice design and well cut! I totally don't see any errors. You have to learn to be a sneaky gluer in this bizness.

Very nice work Beth. I may have to give it a try one of these days! It looks so nice all finished in its frame! (((Bravo!)))

You did an awesome job Beth! For me drawing it would be the most difficult part.

So pretty! I checked the ebay listing--wow, three bids already! Have you tried selling your handmade things on Etsy.com?

Thank you, Thank you, everyone! I was so happy with it and had so much fun making it that I already have another one done. Keep your eye on my listings! :)

Jeana- I've never tried etsy before, but know several women who sell there. Someday I'll probably branch out to other sites like etsy, or my own site maybe, but for now I just have enough time for one venue!
