Birthday Sale!

Tomorrow is my birthday.
On November 25, 2014... I will officially be in my fourth decade.

Yep. Four-Oh.

Forty.

40.
And I honestly couldn't be happier about it! I like milestones, and this feels like a big one in all the right ways. Four decades of life experience under my belt, and likely at least four more to go (if I trend with most of my female ancestors). So that means I'm at my middle decade. Hows that for sobering/invigorating? I've been reading a book called Pursue the Intentional Life by Jean Fleming. In the beginning, she asks "What kind of old lady do I want to be?" This feels like the right time to be thinking about such deep thoughts, and a good time to be able to change course if I need to.

And also a good time to offer a nice sale to all of you loyal readers. My birthday present to you, so to speak. If you spend a minimum of $10 in my etsy shop, you'll be able to enter the coupon code "40isthenew30" at checkout to get 40% off of your order. Starting right now, and ending at midnight tomorrow the 25th.

Happy shopping!

Christmas in October Sale!

For the next week (10/23/13-10/30/13), I will be offering an irresistible opportunity for you to get some early Christmas shopping done!
Hopefully this won't seem too complicated, but here's how it will work...

1. In my etsy shop, choose and add to your cart as many full-price Christmas or Winter-themed designs as you wish (printed patterns only, PDFs are excluded from this sale).

2. For every full-price Christmas or Winter-themed pattern you choose, you may add either one Sale-priced pattern for free (well, okay, I have to charge .20 per etsy's rules), or, one full-price pattern for $3.00.

3. There will be two Christmas in October SALE listings to add to your cart to represent your choice. Please be sure to name the title of the pattern you've chosen in the comments box so that I don't have to hunt you down to find out what you want.

**Do not add the regular listings for the additional pattern, because if you do, it will be a LOT of work to un-do the charges and re-issue an invoice. If you add the regular listing instead of one of the special SALE listings, I will assume you mean to pay the price listed and will proceed as if you don't know about the sale.**

If you have questions, or don't understand my rules, please feel free to send me a convo through etsy, or email me directly.

Its Leap Day, Have You Caught Your Man?

Because I'm snowed in today and feel like celebrating an extra day on my calendar (Hooray for Leap Year!), if you enter the coupon code LEAPDAY when you check out in my etsy shop (today only!), you'll be given an extra 20% off. That means $10 patterns will be $8 and $12 patterns will be $9.60. Woot!

The legend goes that St. Bridget of Ireland was frustrated that all the non-nun ladies in 5th century Ireland had to sit around waiting for proposals that might never come. She complained about it to St. Patrick who, probably impressed by Bridget’s ability to turn her used bathwater into beer, finally proclaimed that women could have the chance to propose themselves once every four years on the leap day. This became known as “The Ladies’ Privilege.”
Maybe its because I've spent the majority of my life under a rock... I had never heard of this fabulous tradition. You can read all about it here, where I found all images and information.
