Golden Light

One of my favorite elements of Summertime

is the fading light of evening.

As the heat of the day wanes,

and cool mountain breezes begin to freshen the air,

it is as if every atom of Creation takes on a contented glow.

The spark of life in each living Creature

stirs to Breathe!

Stretch!

Grow! Enjoy!

We were designed for a Purpose.

Somehow I feel that Purpose more tangibly

when the light filtering through the air that I breathe

is the color of Honey.

Beautiful post! We don't have cool mtn. breezes, but I love the late evening. The colors and the sounds too. :)

Beth, you said this so beautifully! Here in Kansas, even in the waning light of evening, it's still too hot and humid to be outside. Just opening the door and stepping out is like walking into a blast furnace that can literally take your breath away. I live for fall with the crisp air and beautiful leaves.

Although I don't post here often, I'm so enjoying watching your children grow and being a small part of your life.

I love your post! Every element of it is so good -- what you had to say and how you said it, the lay-out, and the great pictures. 'Makes me want to be there and breathe the honey with you!!

And I love the picture of little Katie. It makes me think of a little girl I knew a long time ago (you!)
