Lately

There hasn't been much time lately for anything other than just getting by with what task was screaming loudest at me to be taken care of. My goodness, you all totally caught me off guard with your overwhelming support of my Sweet Land of Liberty pincushion pattern. I have never had a response even *close*. To say I've been up to my neck in orders this past week is an understatement! Thank you! I guess it would be safe to say that you like patriotic smalls, eh?

I have managed to take some pictures in between tasks. Taking pictures has always soothed me and helped me take deep breaths. Whenever I'm overwhelmed in any way, all I have to do is grab my camera and wander around outside for a few minutes and when I come back to the house I feel like I've had a mini vacation.

As I type this, it is raining buckets outside and the kids of Summer (day two!) are playing My Sims on the wii and giggling together. The laundry is in process with a huge pile already waiting to be folded. My coffee is cold and lunch is late, but I'm getting caught up, and that feels good.

Beth, my pattern arrived today and I'm thrilled it's in time for the weekend. Although I would have not been mad if it took longer...you had to work to get all these orders out. I can only speak for myself....but lately with Politics and what's going on in this world I feel deep down the people will always stick together. After all, this is still a sweet land of liberty. It hit the right spot....and definitely a must stitch this Summer. I love your pictures! Look the young man will soon cut your grass. Or is he already? Thanks for the sweet design! Can't wait for the 'big one' :)

Such lovely photos! I can see why a walk around outdoors would seem like a mini vacation.

If your kids like My Sims, you should try out My Sims Kingdom. It's one of our very favorite games!

I love your photos! You make ART out of the simple things in life. A Way to count your blessings and say thank you. Love the little hummer between clothespins and sugar coated rhubarb.
