Oldies Revisited

As promised here, I'm continuing my journey down memory lane, hearkening back to the samplers that I first came up with in the early days of my designing career.

The second title I released in pattern form became available in May of 2008. My not-so-little-anymore girl was just a few months old at the time. I can measure my days as a designer in the years of her life. Nearly a decade... how is it possible?

Come Buy My Sweet Flowers was inspired by Spring, a feeling of whimsy, folky old flowers stitched on an antique sampler, and the sweetest saying stitched on another: "Come buy my Sweet flowers".

My primary business back in those days was selling finished items on ebay, and this design was no exception. Somewhere out in the world, someone has this model hanging on their wall or gathering dust in a closet. I've often considered reworking this one or creating a sequel.

For those of you that don't have a needlework shop nearby, I promise you that every single one of my designs will always be available for sale in my etsy shop, including this chart.

Although many of my older designs have been discontinued by one or more of my distributors, there's a good chance they will still be available through one of them, so put in your request with your local needlework shop owner to get it ordered for you. You can currently get my designs through the distributors listed in the side bar to the right of this post. Your local shop owner can also come directly to me to order any of my designs; I gladly sell wholesale directly to established shops.

Always love seeing your past creations. I will never have enough time to stitch all that I want.
