Colors

Our Boy loves to play with his color crayons. He usually chooses to not color, instead preferring to line them all up, or stuff them up his sleeve, or some other creative option. Yesterday, he was asking me to tell him what colors they were- (he knows red, blue, green, and purple already, but likes to quiz me to test my knowledge). Here is how our conversation went:

Him: What dis?
Me: Black
Him: Black!... What dis?
Me: that one is Red
Him: Red!... What dis?
Me: Green
Him: Geen!... What dis?
Me: Orange
Him: ...
Me: that one is Orange.
Him: No, Mama! CRAYON!
Me: Its the color Orange.
Him: No, CRAYON, Mama!
Me: ...(seriously, how do you argue with a determined toddler?)

an orange is an orange, an apple is an apple, and a crayon by any other name is still a crayon! that's funny!
Lots of love to all of you!

Thanks for the laugh, Jack. That was definitely a difficult concept at our house. Christi
