Longing

I don't know what it is about this magazine clipping.

Maybe its the relative emptiness of the room, signifying Utter Quiet and Lack of Responsibility.

Or it might be the gorgeous architecture of the Mantle combined with the Nostalgia of the Radiator against the wall, the Window Moldings, the Floor.

Maybe it is the Lighting... Glowing from the fire and perfectly balanced by the Photographer's unseen tools.

The Ivy (which I normally detest for killing off beautiful Oregon forests) clambering up the Red Wall seen through the window makes me feel all Dreamy, envisioning the lush Gardens of Summer.

I know for a fact that I am envious of the Model's haircut (my tresses have not been cut by a professional for over 3 years), and love the Drape of her Trousers, the colors of her outfit.

I even think I might like the chair, which is Way Too Modern for my usual taste.

I've had this particular magazine hanging about since November, and for some reason, this photo grabbed me last week, and Won't Let Go. I keep stealing peeks.

I want to be her.

But minus the Weird ugly Ball-Thing.

It's nice for a few moments to imagine being there. :)

Life in a picture . . . but there is so much more just beyond the picture: the model's inner struggles, the hurts of the day she is trying to get perspective on, the loneliness of having no one to share the moment with . . .

And no Jack with creative comments.
No little Katie smiles.
No Matt earning $$$ to pay for it all.

But it is an intriguing picture!

Hmm, that ball thingie is kinda odd. She does look relaxed - I love that feeling. Gotta get me some of that. LOL

She does seemed relaxed although I'm afraid her feet are too close to the flame. LOL

Anyway, hate to boast, but I have that haircut. Heehee It's easy to manage that's for sure.
