Lately
Early sunsets far to the Southern horizon, those two sweetest faces, the return of Winter's birds and frost, a Thankfulness Tree, piano ivories waiting to be tickled, artwork and chores, the Farmboy's abandoned coffee mug, frozen birdbath, steaming pasta pot, fifteen years' wear on the handrail, a warm fire, my instrument of choice, and a little something wintery for your desktop background.

At All Hours
If I had a GPS Tracker around my neck (or on my ankle!), the loops I would leave on a map would look something like this:
bed, coffee maker, pantry, wood stove, kennel.
coffee maker, laundry room, desk, kennel.
wood stove, laundry room, coffee maker, kennel.
driveway, school parking lot, classroom, return.
upstairs, laundry room, kennel.
wood stove, pantry, desk, kennel.
desk, upstairs, kennel.
driveway, school parking lot, classroom, post office, grocery store, return.
kennel, pantry, laundry room, kitchen, kennel.
kitchen, dining room, family room, upstairs, kennel.
stitching chair, kennel... bed.
And on one of those after-dark loops through the kennel, I would notice the brightness of the moon and stars and make an extra trip back to the house to see if my new camera (unlike my old camera) would take a picture that captures the stars.

Being a Mama
My Mother's Day gifts:
Early morning smiles from my Baby Girl
My Firstborn saying "Hap Mama Day" and "Big Hug"
A kitchen cleaned without me lifting a finger
A beautiful Rosemary plant from my Soulmate to replace the one that Winter killed
Several pots of colorful flowers to grace the back deck
My Farmboy spending two weekends getting the vegetable garden planted for me
Dinner at Red Lobster
And, my favorite gift? My darling husband saying, "I don't know how you do it!"

One Month Already???
I am having a very difficult time wrapping my mind around the fact that my Baby is already over 1 month old! Maybe its because we live with a tornado of a toddler, but that first month seemed to go by SO much faster this time around.
We are all doing well, and I am slowly adjusting to life as the Mama of 2 with all of its joys and limitations. I know that one day I will once again have "me" time, but for now, I'll let my books go unread and my eyebrows grow unruly, because its time for another round of meals, diapers, kisses, and laundry!
