What We Did for Valentine's Day

Way overdue for some quality time together as a foursome, we hit the road for the day, travelling down to Newport on the Oregon coast.

I wouldn't mind eating one of these for dinner...

Just after this photo was snapped, Jack turned to me and said with a smile, "MAMA! RUN! Its an OCTOPUS!" :)

This was Katie's first trip to the ocean.

This was also Skarloey's first trip to the ocean.

What a day!

Once again the ghost behind the camera, I only made it into 2 photos the whole day. Both photos are in this blog post. Can you find me?

I'm guessing you were in the reflections of glass. Heehee

This is such a fabulous post - so personal and sureal. Thank you for sharing this. I would love to see this place. It looks magical!

I'm glad you all had a wonderful and unforgetable Valentine's Day.

I need to visit the Oregon coast now! Breathtaking views of the beach, btw.

you must be reflected in the glass in the aquarium pics? I wasn't sure if I saw you or not.
You need to get Matt to take some pics sometimes. When your kids get older, they will want pics of you doing things with them, too.

Really fun pictures! I enjoyed seeing them.

I would say you're the reflection in the glass pics or the shadow at the beach...looks like you had a great family day!

So true about being a ghost- I make sure my oldest son takes a picture of me once in a while so *I* know I exist. lol. So many bloggers I know have gone to the Aquarium [Newport] within the last 2 weeks- apparently the cool place to go. Love the caption under one of the pictures- yum- that is all I can think of when I was at Monterey Bay Aquarium 2 years ago...
What a great V-day celebration!

I see you in a reflection, and I think I see you in another one. LOL. My family always complains that although I provide plenty of pics of the grandkids, I'm never in any myself.

It looks like a FABULOUS day!

Fabulous! The beach & outing are a tremendous blessing, but even they can't compare to the pure joy of being ALL together as a family for the fun.
Did Katie get to play in the sand? My memories of Ali's first experience at the beach are priceless.
Glad you had a very sweet valentines!

Picture #2 and #5. The first as a reflection in the glass, the second has the shadow of your right arm.
