Sequences

My old slippers, which I have worn through two hospital stays and four years of newborns and toddlers in the house had begun to disentigrate... They were so horrible to look at, so misshappen and full of bits of firewood slivers that I was completely ashamed to take a picture and promptly threw them in the trash when these arrived...

It took me 3 months, letting them sit in my amazon.com shopping cart to finally lay out the cash for them; is that pathetic, or what?

They came in this lovely hinged box...

Mr. Potato Head and all of his accessories has been needing a home...

I have Mod Podge and a pile of scrapbook papers...

and alphabet stickers...

Oh wait, did that say "The Potato HeadS"???

Methinks "Someone" is getting a wife for Valentine's Day...

Very cute slippers. I just bought a new pair but they dont serve the correct purpose, keeping my feet warm so I will be on the lookout for a new pair.

Great home for the potatoes heads :)

Love your new slippers! What kind are they?

What an awesome re-use of the hinged box! Hope the potato head likes the effort!

Aren't shoeboxes just the MOST underrated thing? I just love 'em. And I love your new slippers, too. Santa's going to have to make sure we all have some for next winter if we're still in the same house!

Slippers are essential wardrobe items in our house. We have wood floors and heat primarily with a woodstove. I have noticed a few of my regular female visitors are now bringing their slippers along when they come for a visit.

The new ones are by Daniel Green; the "Claire", I believe, in Chocolate multi. If you get yourself a pair, make sure you get a full size up. I normally wear a 9 1/2, so I ordered a 10 and they are SNUG.

Gorgeous slippers & a fab way of making over a shoebox for storage (taking notes!) :0)

Nice slippers and I'm really impressed on how you "re-cycled" the box.

I wanted to "like" this post, but since it's not facebook, I'll settle for commenting. Your last line needs to make it into one of my poems.
