Yesterday was a Snow Day. Which was pretty nice, but lame for the kids, since it dumped snow all day, but didn't stick. We actually lost a good amount of our weekend snow throughout the day and the deck was starting to look bare.
Enter March.
ROAR! Like a Lion.
I hope she follows through and leaves like a Lamb.
I noticed violets blooming along the front of the house a few days ago.
Next comes Heather and Hellebore and Crocus and Pussywillow and Forsythia.
We'll enjoy our snow for now. It is very common for us in the foothills to get a big storm in early March. But by the end of the month, I am going to be pretty put-out if I haven't been able to put in some serious time digging in the dirt.

Hello
Your pictures are beautiful!
Hope you can get digging soon.
Pretty winter pix mixed with nice spring commentary.
Wonderful photos! How I miss the snow! I have a photo of my finished Harry Tyler's Lion on my blog today...come by and see. I sewed him to a piece of antique coverlet and will eventually make him into a pillow.
Stay warm

Stunning photographs! Living in a land with no snow, I am always fascinated by its beauty

I absolutely love your pictures around the world. I enjoyed so much looking through them. I've not been reading blogs as much and catching up. Yours is one of the tops for me. I love it!
