Kids Were Here

I recently found a blog called "kids were here" that has a monthly posting of several photographers' images. Their photos perfectly capture the essence of children, not by snapshots of the kids themselves, but rather the messes and scenarios they leave behind as they move about their day.

Even though I live with and have often taken photographs of what my kids have left behind, I found this blog completely captivating. We are born into this earth with such imagination and creative energy. I need to stop grumbling every time I step on a LEGO or mini Light Saber, and instead let myself smile and start snapping more photos.

On any given day I can find quite the assortment of priceless scenarios.

I can soo relate to this and yes your right I too need to stop grumbling at all the 'stuff' left lying about and learn to appreciate my kids here and now, as people keep telling me before I know it they will be up and gone. Thank you for the timely reminder :0)
