Switching Gears

Well folks, since I already have my Spring pattern booklet mostly ready to launch in March, and I don't have any new sampler ideas bursting from my brain, I am going to dust off my punch needle and make up some trinket boxes. Stay tuned for some creations along these lines...

So so cute! I love them all. I have a punchneedle design that I'm going to glue to the box top and I've decided to use fabric for the sides of the box. Do you recommend using fabric glue or some other method? I figure I'll ask a pro. :o)

A pro... HA! As if... After much trial and error, I figured out that Mod Podge (I use matte finish) works the best for attaching fabric, then I like to have some extra fabric sticking up at the top and actually stitch the punchneedle piece in place rather than glue-ing it.

I have actually been working on boxes today, and was thinking that I should put together a little freebie tutorial... So funny you should ask!

Don't do your box just yet, I think I'll put together and post that tutorial in the next day or two.

I LOVE these boxes! I really do need to learn punchneedle one of these days.
