Anyone who knows me even a little, knows that I am NOT a night owl. My preferred bedtime is 9:30, but since I get very few moments to myself during the day, I have been staying up a bit later just to squeeze in some "me" time lately.
Well, tonight I am burning the almost-midnight oil, and my eyeballs are about ready to fall out of my head, they are so tired! But inspiration struck this evening, and I have been having so much fun I just couldn't make myself quit.
In the midst of doing a little Christmas decorating, I decided that I needed a special holiday papercutting to hang to the left of the mantel. Having no such creature, I let my mind wander as I put up garland and strung lights (photos will be posted at a later date). An image quickly formed in my mind, and after I put the kids down for the night, I set to work...
These lovely ladies were inspired by the papercuttings of Hans Christian Andersen, thanks to my Mama and the book she gave to me for my birthday.
I would elaborate more on the story of the four Noel dancers, but my brain is quite literally turning to mush, and I absolutely MUST be off to bed...

It is beautiful Beth! I too have trouble staying up past 10 pm.... but sometimes that is the only time us Moms can get anything done for ourselves. :)
Smiles,
Betty
Ooooooh! Bethie, I love it! If I could afford it, can I have one, too?
