Backporch Picnic

I know that many of you are enduring yet another cold, snowy, winter day, and even here it is a bit gloomy with rain pending.

But yesterday! Yesterday there was glorious sunshine all morning, and by lunchtime the back porch had dried enough to take our lunch into the great outdoors.

There was leftover mac and cheese (homemade, with whole wheat pasta!) and sliced strawberries and sippy cups.

The sun warmed our hair and the fresh air cleansed our lungs.

It was quite a delightful way to spend a January afternoon.

What a wonderful afternoon. Your babies are so cute. I love your cat too.

I am enjoying January in south Texas. After the long, cold, icy, and dark winters and early springs of Ohio.

One day it was 73. I took Bri to the park and just sat with the sun on my face. It was wonderful.

Have a blessed weekend.

Ahh Beth....you are such a good mama! I cant believe how fast the kids are growing & Katie's hair is so long. Oh and I didnt know your family had a feline family member. Yes we have been enjoying the outdoors as well - up here in Welches. Its crazy not having snow. Of course this is the year we bought all the kids new sleds at as neighbor kids have seemed to permanently borrow our 2 super old beaten up ones. Im still confident we will get a snow day for sledding, well I hope so!
