Star Magnolia

This beauty lives on the North side of our house, by the herb garden. Every year it puts on a better show than the last, filling the air with a sweet subtle fragrance. I wish I could send a blossom to each and every one of you.

I have one too! Love how it looks and smells. It will be several weeks for it blooms here in NE Kansas. It looks like little white handkerchiefs on a bush from a distance. I hate it when we get a frost and they turn black...

I too have a star magnolia bush. It blooms about the first of April. Is yours a bush or tree. I live here in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. You are right about the scent, if only we could bottle it. It seems every year when it is in full bloom we have a late frost and it turns all the blossoms brown. Saw my first robins today and heard the bluebirds. Carolyn B
