The Mister put up a new woodshed this year, in a much-more convenient spot on the North side of the Shop.
The end wall of chopped wood will be there all winter, and perhaps next as well. It is made up of the wettest of the wood, and will protect the inner stacks of wood from the elements, taking the brunt of rain, sleet, snow.
Knowing that it will be highly visible, I decided to let my inner artist free while I stacked the wood today.
Yep. I really did.
Don't see it? Look again. Look closely.
We took a vote... Smiley face, or Heart?
Which would you have placed your vote for?

I spotted a heart right away in the first picture. Your artistry shines thru in this project!
I love it! When I was a kid I hated stacking the wood, now its been so long I'm not sure what I'd do. But, I'll remember this post if I ever have to stack firewood again.
HEART! How wonderful to include beauty in such a setting - LOVE IT!
Cute! Might as well have some fun as stacking wood is hard work!

I love your beautifully stacked pile of cut wood [including the heart]. My childhood memories are of a sprawling [spidery] heap of wood that dad would split as needed. We lived on the coast and never had snow nor much rain, still I am pretty sure my mum would have LOVED a gorgeous wall of wood like this one.
I instantly saw the heart! Who knew a stack of firewood could be so beautiful!
