Even with lingering cool weather and overcast skies, my flower gardens are entering that lush extravagant first full bloom of the season.
A few of my favorites (in no particular order)...
Vine Maple...
Lilac...
Oxalis...
Ladies' Mantle...
Poppy...
Chives and Chamomile...
an Unidentified Plant given to us by friends...
Lest you think all is perfection in my yard, behold my next project:
My herb garden WILL be whipped into shape, then it will be on to the back of the house, the other half of the rock wall, the pumphouse, the firepit, 2/3 of the front yard, and the grape arbors. Think I'll finish by the end of Summer? If I do, it will be the first time since the kids were born. I'm keeping my green thumbs crossed...
