Wow

You all knocked my socks off with your response to my Sis-in-Law's candles. She didn't anticipate the positive response, and completely sold out in the first day. She is absolutely thrilled, of course, and is working on filling requests, and hopes to have more listed soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

As a thank-you to ME for telling you about them, she brought a candle out to me, and I am loving it, up there on my mantle. If you have been on the fence, wondering if you should get one or not, stop wondering and get one! You won't regret it.

The other WOW, the one that still has me shaking my head, is what my Farmboy gave to me for my birthday.
I can't tell you just how long I have been wanting a laptop computer, but never felt that my want justified the expense. Well, he has once again delivered, giving me a gift that I am super excited about. I can listen to music in the kitchen! Design samplers under a shade tree in the Summer! Stop hogging the family computer for work so the kids can play on PBS Kids once in a while! Write my blog while sitting in a cozy chair by the woodstove! How many other silly, frivolous things can I think of? Lots. Happy me.
I'll be spending my day trying to get the color balance and lighting just right, loading my design software, simmering one very large turkey carcass down to broth, catching up on housework, and perhaps digging into the Christmas decorations. What will you do today?

I am digging into some of my Christmas boxes as well today. We had thought we'd be in our new/old home by this time, however, so we had put many of our decorations in storage.... anticipating the move. I'm trying to make-do with what I still have here, rather than go back to storage and haul the stuff back..... It will be a different look for us this year!

I purchased two of your SIL's candles -- just loved them and thought one would be for me, and the other a wonderful Christmas gift to my sister! I can't wait to receive them!

Have a great evening!

Have fun with your new toy.

Today I did errands and ate the remaining pound of roasted chestnuts until I had a stomach ache. I'm such a piggy for favorite foods. You will love the laptop from that special guy.
